Skadi?
In Nordic mythology, Skadi lives in the mountains. She is a goddess associated to the mountains and skiing.
Location?
Overlooking the valley at 850m above sea level, facing south you can relax on the big terrace and enjoy nature and pure air from sunrise until sunset.
Based on more than 1300 m2, the Chalet Skadi dominates the valley, with a splendid and panoramic view!
Exceptional location, two minutes away from starting points for marked trails for mountain biking, trail, hiking, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing… and at 10 minutes from the ski areas of La Bresse / Gerardmer and Xonrupt- Longmer. In summer, enjoy the hikes around the lakes.
Recreational equipment is at your disposal: barbecue, plancha, television, raclette devices (2), board games, private parking….

Bedrooms
4 cosy, luminous and delicately decorated bedrooms will welcome you. Very comfortable for 10 persons, new high standing bedding, box spring and hypoallergenic duvets.
Parental Suite Les Ours polaires – 1 queen size bed (160×200), private bathroom with shower, balcony, room for 2 persons
Room Les Pingouins – 1 queen size bed (160×200), room for 2 persons
Room Les Marmottes – 4 single beds (90×200), room for 4 persons
Room Les Elans – 1 bunk bed (90×200), room for 2 persons
New hypoallergenic duvets and pillows are at your disposal
Renting of bed sheets is mandatory and included in your rental fee
Towels can be rented if requested

We provide you with a maximum of equipment so that you can fully enjoy your stay.
The completely newly equipped kitchen will allow you to prepare nice menus thanks to a full equipment and a lot of storing space.

Young and old will enjoy the parlour games available in the chalet.
A baby kit is available (highchair, chair reducer, baby pot and folding bed)
Finally, a washing machine and dryer are available as well.

A fixed fee for water and electricity is included in your rate. In case of abusive usage, an additional amount can be deducted from the refund of the deposit. You are not allowed to charge your electric car.
Deposit
A deposit of 1000€ will be required, with bankcard footprint at the booking. Without deposit, the chalet will not be put at your disposal.
Final cleaning: mandatory and included in your rate

Towels: available for renting if needed
Local taxes: included in your calculation at the reservation

In summer
Please enjoy the numerous paths and beautiful landscape for:

In winter
In winter, enjoy the ski area of La Bresse for alpine skiing.
The ski area of La Bresse Hohneck offers 34 slopes (6 green, 14 blue, 13 red, 1 black, 1 slalom stage, 17 ski lifts) for 220 hectares of sliding between 900 and 1350 metres of altitude (culminating point top of Kastelberg).
Over 360 snow guns guarantee optimal gliding.

On the other hand, you can also enjoy the area of Gerardmer to enjoy two smaller snow resorts
- La Mauselaine, situated at 8km, where you can enjoy alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, sledging and snowshoeing
- Les Bas Rupts, at 6km, for Nordic skiing.
